In that respect, Robert Vaden isn’t too dissimilar to a lot of second round picks. He retired in 2017 following a career split between the D-League and Europe, also having his rights traded and briefly signing with the Spurs in 2014. Vaden had another shot at the NBA in 2010, once again playing in the Summer League with the Thunder, and once again missing out on a contract. He played in the 2009 Summer Leagues, but ultimately wasn’t signed, and instead headed to Italy. Instead, I’ll probably end up covering around half that number in my articles as I’d like to focus on the most interesting stories, beginning with these five players.Ĭredit goes to Kieran on this one, who threw out the suggestion after my last article and thus set me up to continue the series! Robert Vaden was drafted by the Charlotte Bobcats with the 54th pick in 2009, and immediately traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Noteworthy and kind of cool for them, but it’s a repetitive tale to tell. For the most part, it’s the same tale: they made the cut when a game’s roster was being finalised, but were released soon after and never played a single game. Although there are at least 80 players that I could discuss here (including the ones I’ve already mentioned in previous articles), not all of them have an interesting story. However, I’ve actually whittled the list down to a smaller number that doesn’t include every single example. There are quite few of them, and I compiled a comprehensive list in anticipation of writing future instalments of this series. I’ve covered some interesting examples of such players in the previous three articles, but since then, I’ve continued to build my basketball video game collection, and have pored over the rosters to find other players who hold this distinction.

It’s been a while since the last entry in this series about players whose appearances on the virtual hardwood outnumber the amount of games they officially played in the real NBA. This week’s Five is a list of five more players that appeared in more video games than real NBA games. The feature is presented as either a list of five items, or in the form of a Top 5 countdown. While NBA 2K15 isn't the latest NBA computer game, it offers new features and some of the world's top players.Welcome to this week’s edition of The Friday Five! The Friday Five is a feature that I post every Friday in which I give my thoughts on a topic that’s related to NBA Live, NBA 2K, and other basketball video games, as well as the real NBA, and other areas of interest to our community. You even have the option of playing online against others from around the world. The developers took care in designing everything from the way the coaches and cheerleaders look to the way the crowd roars and jeers during games. Though this is a feature that many players asked for, you may find that the management game feels a little repetitive.Įverything about this game will leave you feeling like you're actually on the court or in the crowd. You're responsible for drafting your own players, picking the roster for upcoming games, and even how much fans pay for tickets. There is also a MyGM mode that turns you into the manager of a basketball team.

The game also lets you pick a mentor from your team who will guide you through the season. You start out as a brand new player and show your skills to determine which team will draft you. Instead of controlling an entire team, you control an individual player. M圜areer offers a completely different way to play the game. MyLeague even lets you pick classic players like Michael Jordan for your team.

You can play individual games with your team or play an entire season. The game gives you control over who plays on your team and when to make trades. You pick from dozens of different teams, including classic teams that won championships in the United States and top leagues from overseas. With MyLeague, you can design your very own league. NBA 2K15 comes with two different ways to play. As this isn't the newest version, you may find that some newer players don't appear and that other players are no longer in the NBA. Top NBA players actually worked with the game developers, and those developers created artificial players that look just like the guys you see running up and down the court on your television. One of the first things you'll notice about this game is how realistic it looks. This older version of the game comes with some of your favorite players too. NBA 2K15 takes all the fun and excitement of NBA games and puts it on your computer screen.
